Belgium has released a statement to express its position on the absurd situation of the Balogun case.

What happened?

The Royal Belgian Union of Football Associations (URBSFA) thus wished to express its « shock » at the decision of FIFA to declare the suspended American player Balogun finally eligible.

The Belgian federation also relies on the regulations to justify its astonishment and counter article 27, in particular article 66.4 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, as well as article 10.5 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Regulations.
