Belgium's internationals experienced a mixed week of European club action from 19 to 23 October. While some celebrated goals and wins, others were on the end of heavy defeats.

Goals and Glory in Bruges

The standout collective performance came from Club Brugge KV, who thrashed Lens 3-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday. Three Red Devils found the net: Joaquin Seys, Brandon Mechele and Hans Vanaken, all of whom played the full match. The comprehensive win puts Brugge in a strong position in their group. Jari Busser also played 90 minutes to help AZ Alkmaar secure a 4-0 win over Ararat-Armenia in the Europa League on Thursday.

Disappointments Elsewhere

The picture was less positive for other Belgian representatives. At Manchester United, Youri Tielemans and Senne Lammens were both starters in a heavy 1-4 home defeat to newly-promoted Como. Romelu Lukaku came off the bench in the 63rd minute for Fenerbahçe, who drew 2-2 with Slavia Prague on Tuesday.

Charles De Ketelaere (Atalanta) and Diego Moreira (AC Milan) were both substituted during defeats in the Europa League and Europa Conference League, respectively.

These club outings come as the national team prepares for its next fixture away to Türkiye on 12 November. The Red Devils' recent form has been patchy with two wins and two losses from their last four games.
